The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 4: The Louis, Regina reveal

We came into The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 4 anticipating some reveals when it comes to Louis and Regina. What did we really learn?

Well, for starters, a part of this was easy to predict: He obviously wants to be around someone who looks like Claudia. Does he want her to actually be Claudia? That’s where things get complicated, especially as Regina seems to be intrigued about it … for a price anyway. She learned more and more about Louis through his frequent visits to the diner, one that eventually led to her reading Interview with the Vampire and getting a far better understanding of his backstory.

Is there a chance that the show going to be building towards a tragic end? We are worried that Louis could get drawn into a fantasy where he can pretend like Claudia is still there, effectively hurting himself in the process. It is also taking him away from a number of other important things that are going on right now, whether it be Lestat deciding to continue the tour or Armand going around on an apology tour.

Speaking of Armand…

Does he really hold remorse over some of the things that he has done? Or, at the same time, is he just trying to get Lestat and others on his side? We know that he is a vampire who believes in a very specific sort of rules, and likely understands the risk that Lestat is bringing to their livelihood. The problem with Armand in particular is quite simple: He lies so much! He’s been sneaky and betrayed others! He does not have a lot of goodwill with a number of the other characters.
