In just one week’s time Grantchester season 11 episode 4 is going to turn up over at PBS — so what major stories will stand out?

Of course, with this being the final season of the show it is fair to imagine that every storyline is going to have a heightened sense of importance — and how could it not? This one in particular is bringing the mystery series to an interesting place, one where Alphy himself could be in finitely more danger than we have ever seen at any point in the show’s run. We do recognize that it is a little bit of a common trope where a main character ends up being under investigation for a murder but at the same time, isn’t it also rather fun to watch play out?

To get a few more details right now on what all you can expect to see, go ahead and check out the full Grantchester season 11 episode 4 synopsis below:

Alphy’s trip to reconcile with his mother takes a shocking turn when someone is murdered and he becomes the prime suspect. Back in Grantchester, Leonard defends troubled Raymond from Geordie, and Miss Scott hides a big secret.

Of course, we do tend to think that Alphy will end up being okay despite everything that happens around him in this episode and instead, the real question then becomes just how he manages to find himself in a far better place on the other side. We do tend to think that a lot of these stories could tie together in unsuspecting ways and in general, progress everything towards the series finale. That is the point in the show where, for the most part, we imagine that there is not going to be a dry eye in the house.
