Fire Country season 5 premiere date hopes with filming underway

If you have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Fire Country season 5 over at CBS, let’s just say there are more reasons to celebrate today!
In a post on Instagram this week, star and executive producer Max Thieriot has officially confirmed that production on the latest batch of episodes is underway. This means that we are moving closer to the show being back, but it also has to be remembered that the network is not going to be altogether greedy to rush anything along.

Ultimately, the start of Fire Country does not seem to have a direct impact (at least for now) on when the show is actually going to premiere. Our hope is that it is going to launch at some point moving into late September or early October, mostly because that is traditionally when we have seen both of these shows back. There is at least a chance that we get a firm date announcement by the middle of next month.
What is most notable about season 5?
From where we stand, there are two things at this point. For starters, season 4 did not necessarily have some sort of huge jaw-dropping cliffhanger, meaning that there is a chance for the creative team to reset things to a certain extent. That is a luxury that a drama like this does not often get. The biggest surprise was the news from earlier this year that the show is only going to be doing thirteen episodes this time around, as opposed to the 18-20 that has become more standard for CBS dramas. If there is a positive spin on this, it is the fact that we are going to be able to get more continuous stories and less filler.
