Olivia Befus is looking to bring quite a bit to the table on the next audition episode, and she is definitely the sort of act that judges do traditionally enjoy — one that involves dogs.

Have we seen a few of these tricks before in other animal acts? Absolutely, but we’ve also heard plenty of singers hit similar notes. The real charm of something like this on America’s Got Talent is the connection that exists between the human and the dog. You want to see something that feels genuine, kind, and heartwarming — and that is what it feels like here. There’s enough unpredictability to stand out and a good bit of showmanship.

If you go through the history of the talent competition, then you already know that these are acts that have a tendency to do really well most of the time. Almost every viewer out there loves dogs, and that forms an almost instant bond that is harder to access with some other acts. Also, we tend to think that there is a pretty natural reaction pet owners have to seeing something like this: “Why can’t my dog do some of this stuff?”
