Down Cemetery Road season 2 premiere date: June 2026 update

Is there any chance that we are going to hear something more regarding Down Cemetery Road season 2 between now and the end of June? Make no mistake here that it would be wonderful to learn something more when it comes to the future — getting it, however, is a little bit tricky based on where we are at the moment. After all, just remember that production for the hit series has not been going on for too long! It started earlier this spring and from where things currently stand, our feeling is that it will carry on through at least some of the summer.

For now, the only major thing that has been confirmed for the Emma Thompson – Ruth Wilson series is a synopsis that does help to set the stage:

Season two reunites Zoë Boehm (Thompson) and Sarah Trafford (Wilson) chasing down another twisted mystery. After a woman falls in front of a train, Zoë is called in to investigate, but this seemingly simple case soon upends her life as she and Sarah find themselves navigating the glamorous but ruthless world of black market antiquities. Matters take a deadly turn when they stumble into the path of a brutal serial killer who will stop at nothing to cover up his crimes.

Because of where things are at present, the Mick Herron adaptation is probably going to remain under lock and key for a little while longer — think, to be specific, most of the rest of the month. In the meantime, we are happy to know that Slow Horses is on the way this September and that should help to keep us engaged in the meantime.

When could we realistically see the series back?

It is certainly a hard thing to pin down in any sort of precise way but at the same time, we tend to believe the most likely scenario is that it returns moving into the winter or spring of next year. Apple TV may take their time here, as there is no real reason to rush anything along.
