We have been expecting Slow Horses season 6 to premiere in either late summer or early fall over on Apple TV. With that, isn’t it nice to know that it is actually 100% official?

Today, the folks at the streaming service officially confirmed that on Thursday, September 16, new installments of the spy drama starring Sir Gary Oldman are formally set to premiere. It will premiere with one episode, and then air weekly until the finale arrives on October 21.

While the official Slow Horses season 6 logline has been out there for some time, here is another tease for what is to come in case you want or need it:

Season six sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.

Given that Taverner is now in the position of First Desk, she does have a greater amount of authority than ever before. Of course, in an instance like this, that may also translate more to additional problems depending on how everything plays out. We are excited to see that but beyond just this, nervous for some of Slough House in general. This is an organization that for the most part, has been held together by duct tape and paper clips.

In the end, the biggest thing that we’ve seen here time and time again is that the show delivers action and gives us great character development. If it can continue to pull that off, we certainly think we are going to be happy with whatever the result ends up being. (We already know that a season 7 is coming, so it is nice to not worry about that.)
