Pluribus season 2 premiere date: Vince Gilligan explains wait further

As many of you out there may be aware at this point, we are still waiting for Pluribus season 2 to start production — by virtue of that, it becomes all the clearer that it will likely not premiere until the end of next year. To think, it could even be later than that!
So why is the Apple TV series taking so long? We know there are a lot of questions on that, and over the past few months, creator Vince Gilligan has pointed repeatedly to the notion that he needs a lot of time to formulate the story. This is a process that requires a lot of care, especially since you are dealing with sci-fi, lore, and also characters in the Joined who operate under a particular set of reasoning.

Our hope is that once filming is done, the process can happen in a pretty smooth fashion — and from what we are hearing right now from Gilligan, that is partially the point. Just see what he had to say as a part of a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“If they’re going to give me and my writers this much lead time to get it right and we’re still rewriting and reshooting on the fly, I’m not doing my job right … There’s an old expression in carpentry, ‘Measure twice, cut once.’ Let’s get it right the first d–n time.”
Our general feeling at this point is that this may be in some ways the hard part to getting a show like this off the ground. Sure, there are a lot of challenges that come with filming, but it does still feel like there is a real effort being made here to ensure that the production process is easier when we do make it to that point.
