Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 4: An emotional tangle
There are so many different ways to view and describe the story of Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 at present, but what is the best way to describe it? It is rather hard to distill it into any singular thing, but we would say that the emotional complexity around the characters is as important as any individual case.
At this point in the narrative, it is already very-much clear that Elias Voit is going to be critical to everything that happens. However, at the same time, the BAU does not know the extent of it yet, especially since it seems like a copycat is going to be really important to the latter parts of the story. Because of that divide of knowledge between us as viewers and the team on the show, not everyone may be that willing to interact with Voit. Could that change? Absolutely, but we will have to wait and see just how that works.

Speaking on the dynamics moving forward per TV Guide, here is at least some of what showrunner Erica Messer had to say:
“Each character feels differently about Voit. Rossi wants nothing to do with the guy, so he’s haunting Voit this season. Garcia has way more empathy for everyone. Tyler obviously has the most personal connection because his sister was killed. Lewis wants to get into his brain and figure out what makes him tick. Prentiss needs to manage the outward perception now that the world knows this guy … I feel like in the best-case scenario, the fans all feel the way our characters feel.”
Ultimately, we want to see more of the real Rossi and Voit interacting, even if we are well-aware that this process could take a rather large amount of time.
