Cape Fear episode 3 air date, what lies ahead

Following the big two-part premiere today over on Apple TV, what more can we say about Cape Fear episode 3, let alone the rest of the series?

For those of you unaware, the show is inspired in a lot of ways by the famed 1991 feature film of the same time — that doesn’t mean that it will follow it directly, though! We almost look at this new show as similar in a way to Presumed Innocent at the streaming service. With that, we are talking about a story that could have some familiar beats but also its own identity. You’ve got some great performers in here led by Amy Adams, and we do think that there are going to be dark twists that turn up more and more over time.

Before we go too much further here, we advise you to see the synopsis for Cape Fear itself:

Inspired by the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.

Now as for episode 3 in particular, you are going to see it arrive in just seven days. The show is going to be weekly from here on out, and you can really think of the first two episodes coming at once as a way to set the stage and get to know the characters. This is a strategy that Apple tends to employ with a ton of their shows, so we cannot say that we’re altogether shocked that we could be getting it here.

Meanwhile, the episode 3 description lets you know what is ahead:

Max asks Anna to represent him in a hearing. Tom invites a coworker over. Natalie makes a friend.
