Criminal Record season 2 episode 8 spoilers: The epic finale

Next week on Apple TV, you are going to have a chance to see Criminal Record season 2 episode 8 — this will be the all-important finale. Does this mean that everything is case closed?

Well, for the time being, we are honestly prepared for everything. Just take a look back at how the first season ended, which delivered an enormous gut-punch when it comes to June and Daniel’s dynamic. We have seen already that he is capable of doing some truly awful things in his pursuit of “justice.” June does not trust him and is right to feel that way. Yet, is there any common ground that they are going to be able to find here? Can they work together to any degree? That has been one of the real questions we have seen over the course of the entire season.

Will this be the final episode of the series overall?

Well, let’s just say that for now, there is a legitimate chance that this ends up being the case. The viewership for season 2 has not hit the level of many other Apple originals as of late, whether it be Your Friends & Neighbors, Widow’s Bay, or Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The threshold it needs to reach to be renewed may be different, but we would not count on anything more. With that being said, we did not bank on a season 2 after the first season, either. It did have an ending that for the most part, managed to stand on its own.
