The Pitt season 3: How much does the cast know now?

We are a reasonable amount of time removed from the end of The Pitt season 2 and with that in mind, we like to think everyone starting to learn more about season 3.
With that being said, though, there are still some questions that remain. Take, at least for starters, just how much everyone involved actually knows about the next chapter. Of course, we imagine that Noah Wyle has inside information about just about everything, which is not a shock given he writes and directs on the HBO Max hit. As for everyone else … well, let’s just say that their status is a little bit up in the air at this point.

Take, for example, the actress behind Dr. Al-Hashimi in Sepideh Moafi. Speaking to Variety, she confirmed that she is coming back for the third season — however, she still does not know much else:
“At the moment, I am. I’m not sure to what capacity … I’m positive, I think? Nothing is clear to me as to what’s happening with the story, how many episodes, all that, but I am coming back.”
We do think that Dr. Al’s story is potentially one of the most interesting of the next chapter, and we say that largely due to one simple reason: What happened to her in the season 2 finale. After some resistance she finally acknowledged that her condition made it dangerous for her to do some things she really wanted to do — including drive herself home from the hospital. Given that the next season is taking place around four months later, does that mean she is in a much better spot? Or, is she going to find it hard as a doctor to suddenly be a patient?
