‘The Bachelorette’: Jef Holm all smiles about following Sean Lowe on ‘The Bachelor’

Even though we sense that there is a little bit of steam building up in the campaign to have Drew Kenney serve as the next star of “The Bachelor” (at least based on some comments from Chris Harrison and the show’s edit this season), we’re still not completely giving up on the idea of Jef Holm yet. Emily Maynard’s ex-fiancee has been supported by recent “Bachelor” Sean Lowe for the gig, and considering that his season was the highest-rated in quite some time, we have to think that this means something … right?

We at least hope so, and for now, Jef is not really speaking about whether or not he will take the gig one way or another. What he did do recently, though, in a Q&A session on Twitter was reply to a statement about his needing to become the next “Bachelor” with a smile (the :) icon, for those of you who didn’t quite get it).

What does this really mean at the end of the day? Not much, and it probably seems pretty inconsequential to read too much into this at all. However, we do take it as a sign that he’s at least reasonably interested in the gig if ABC calls him up, and that’s something. He is also single, and likely still memorable much in the way that Emily was following her first go-around and attempt at being engaged to Brad Womack.

While it may still be fair to wait until the end of “The Bachelor” to really pass judgment on who should star next season, we’re still Team Jef for now given that he is popular with fans already, and save for Drew we don’t really know if anyone from Desiree Hartsock’s season would be good at it.
