House of the Dragon season 3 trailer: The full horrors of war

The House of the Dragon season 3 premiere is coming to HBO next month and thanks to a final trailer launch this morning, we have an even better sense of what is to come — and also just how violent things will be.

If you head over to the link here now, you can get a better sense of just what we are talking about here, as we’re gearing up for a story that will start in as explosive a fashion as any we have seen in the history of the show so far. How can you say anything otherwise given that the Battle of the Gullet appears to be the way in which everything is starting? This is one of the most notable battles through all of Fire & Blood and we certainly think that we are about to see everything push into overdrive further now.

In general, our feeling here is that this season is going to feature more violence and alliance-shifting than ever before. Even though Rhaenyra and Alicent find themselves diametrically opposed when it comes to where they stand, we saw on this past season how there can still be some flexibility here. Our general feeling is that this is going to be a good opportunity to see some lines get blurred — but also those close to them pushing the Greens and the Blacks to the brink.

Thanks to Game of Thrones, we of course do know how all of this ends — and absolutely we are worried already over the prospect of having to see so many dragons and people we’ve come to care about die. This is going to be a really hard thing to digest…
