Landman season 3 spoilers: A Billy Bob Thornton tease
Even though filming has yet to kick off for Landman season 3, it is certainly nice to know that we are inching closer to it. Why not hear more about possible stories courtesy of star Billy Bob Thornton?
The first thing that you do have to note when talking about the future of this series is honestly quite simple: Co-creator Taylor Sheridan is notorious for not giving much away, even to his cast. Because of that, a number of actors on the show still have no idea as to exactly what is ahead. The best thing that they can do is make some predictions based on some of what they’ve been a part of so far.

With all of this in mind, why not circle back to Billy Bob? As a part of a new Emmy-season panel over at Variety, the actor suggested that the next part of Landman could end up combining much of what we have seen so far:
“My guess is that Season 3 is gonna be a combo of Season 1, which had more tension and danger, and Season 2, that was more about the wacky family and the oil business. It’s going to be an even combo of both.”
We do think it would be smart for the show to somehow marry these two ideas, especially since the second season did get some criticism for its pacing and also the lack of action. We did appreciate the new direction set up at the end of the finale, as it seems as though we are going to be seeing Tommy embark on a brand-new venture in the oil business — with a lot of his inner circle close to his side.
