Landman season 3 premiere date: Is it being pushed back?
For most of the past few months, we have approached Landman season 3 with the philosophy that more than likely, the drama would return close to the end of the year. However, is there a chance now we are going to be waiting longer than expected?
Well, let’s just say for now that there are signs, with the latest one tied to a change in the filming timeline. As some out there may be aware, originally it appeared as though the Taylor Sheridan show was going to start up production this month. However, has that now changed in a pretty dramatic way?

In a recent interview on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, star Billy Bob Thornton suggested that Landman filming is actually going to start up now close to the end of August. Given that we’ve yet to see any of the cast and crew on set just yet, it is easy to argue that this does make an element of sense.
So why the wait? Well, it could be tied to scheduling, the state of the scripts, or just Sheridan’s overall workload. Remember that in addition to the large number of shows he has, he also is going to be writing all of Frisco King, the new Tulsa King spin-off starring Samuel L. Jackson originally meant to take place in New Orleans. One way or another, more Tommy Norris is coming; it is just hard to think we will see it in 2026 anymore.
(For the record, Paramount+ never really confirmed a launch date for Landman — technically then, it is hard to say that it is being delayed.)
