Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 3: Will Voit escape?

As we look ahead now to Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 3 over on Paramount+ next week, some things will very much change. After all, how can they not when we have more information as to what Elias Voit could be planning?

In the end, what we’ve learned at this point is that Zach Gilford’s character could be planning to get out of prison at some point. Is there a way to escape? That remains unclear but at the same time, he still could be doing his best in order to try.

In speaking on this situation a little bit further in a chat with TV Insider, here is at least some of what executive producer Erica Messer had to say:

“This is a guy who it’s all the things we’ve said about him. He likes to be in control. The last thing this healthy guy wants to do is [rot] away in jail, and yet that’s exactly the path he’s set for himself. So whenever there’s an opportunity — counting the footsteps, counting the whatever — he can’t turn it off … Hallucination Rossi was aware of that: ‘I know you, I know you better than you know yourself and I’m going to call you out on that.’ There will be an attempt this season to escape, I’ll say that.”

Could all of this happen in episode 3? It is an interesting thing to consider but at the same time, it honestly feels too early to get to that point. There are going to be other opportunities to see all of this play out and with that in mind, we see no real need to rush anything along.
