Is Ghosts new tonight on CBS? After the shocking end of the most-recent episode last week, it is hard to blame anyone who is eager for more.

So is this where we can share some awesome stuff regarding the future? As great as that would be, not so much. The reality here is that last week’s one-hour block served as the season 5 finale, and you are going to be stuck waiting a little longer than usual to see what is next.

If you missed some of the prior announcements, the plan regarding Ghosts season 6 is for it to air sporadically in the fall. You are going to get two-part specials themed around Halloween and Christmas and then after that, the rest of the season proper will launch in 2027. The reason for this is tied to the network opting to give more of a launching pad to the vampire comedy Eternally Yours — plus, a more limited amount of real estate for comedies on the CBS schedule than what we have seen in some time.

For now, we don’t tend to think the later launch for the new season is a sign that it is in any danger; after all, this is one of the most consistent hits the network has! Also, do not be concerned about the show skirting over what happened to Pete as a result of that cliffhanger. We do tend to think that the writers are going to address it head-on; there may still be consequences of what happened, but we are doing our best (at least for the moment) to assume that he is going to find his way back to the Woodstone gang in due time.
