Euphoria season 3 episode 8 (finale): Could someone else die?

There is no denying that we are coming into Euphoria season 3 episode 8 with the story in a somewhat interesting place. After all, consider what we just saw! Rue’s life is clearly in danger and, beyond that, Nate’s body is not even cold. Losing Jacob Elordi from the cast is a huge swing, but at the same time, it is something that made sense. Nate has done a number of terrible things over the years and by virtue of that alone, it made sense that he would eventually have to pay for it further.

Now, this brings us back to the question at the heart of this article, and it is one that is fundamentally simple: Are we about to see someone else die?

In general, we would say that the answer to this question is yes, especially upon seeing everything that is happening when it comes to Rue and her story. However, at the same time, we also tend to think that losing another top-line cast member would be fundamentally shocking. It makes more sense to either remove a minor role or someone who turned up for the first time down the road. This will allow creator Sam Levinson to have most of the Euphoria cast still potentially out there for a season 4.

Will there even be a season 4?

that is where things get tricky. Nothing about this season so far has screamed “this is the end” and HBO is calling Sunday’s episode a “season finale.” However, if there is more, we do not think it will happen anytime soon. In the interim, most of the cast here will likely take part in feature films and virtually anything else they want.
