One Piece season 3 premiere date: A May 2026 update

At some point between now and the end of May, is there a chance we are going to hear more regarding One Piece season 3 over at Netflix?
Of course, this is one of those situations where there are so many different things that we can say regarding the future, but it begins with the fact that the latest batch of episodes remains in active production. Given when the cast and crew first started, there is a case to be made that they should actually be done or close to it before too long … and that then allows everyone to move into the next phase of things. Post-production takes a good bit of time for almost any show under the sun, but there is no denying that it is probably longer for this one. That is tied simply to the fact that there are so many visual effects that have to be implemented here and for a big-budget show like this, it takes a rather long time in order to complete.

For the reasons that we have laid out above in pretty-clear fashion, we would be surprised in the event that there are many more One Piece season 3 details out there between now and the end of the month. Heck, we would consider ourselves lucky if we were to learn a lot more between now and the end of the year. For the time being, our sentiment is that we will be lucky to see the show return in the summer or fall of next year, especially since that would be a much smaller wait than what we had between seasons 1 and 2.
One thing that we are rather curious to learn about soon is whether or not we will hear about a season 4 before the third season airs; after all, that would be rather useful to continuing to keep the show moving forward behind the scenes at a pretty rapid pace.
