Marshals season 1 finale cliffhanger: Is Weaver behind it all?

We knew that the Marshals season 1 finale was going to bring a lot of emotional content to the table, but what about a cliffhanger? Well, that made a lot of sense, as well, largely due to the fact that the Yellowstone universe has done that many times over the years.

Through a lot of the installment, one of the bigger questions we were left to wonder here is just what happened with Kayce’s house on the East Camp. Who was responsible for the attack? Is it really Weaver who is serving now as the Big Bad moving forward?

Well, given what we saw with Jeb at the shootout, plus then also the conversation with Tom later, it feels pretty darn likely that this is going to be the case. This opens up a Pandora’s Box of new problems, but we do also think that a show like Marshals benefits more from having an adversary who is clear and fairly easy to identify. Also, there is something to them having a little bit more information than the heroes.

Is Dre leaving?

Well, that was a big question through most of the episode but with every individual goodbye, the more likely it was that it would actually happen. Yet, we are not willing to say that she is 100% gone just yet — we may still have to wait and see.

Speaking of exits, Tate seems to be going off fishing for a while in Texas — which, ironically, is the setting for the aforementioned Dutton Ranch. Yet, we don’t think he is going to be out there forever. The problem here is that he is leaving with Weaver and Kayce seems to be none the wiser.
