Is FBI new tonight on CBS? There are many ways in which we could start off this article, but let us just begin with the following: We are in a really intriguing spot when it comes to the show’s future. Just consider for a moment the huge decision made by OA, one that could end up bringing him to a totally new place where he is deep undercover. Just on the basis of that, it may be easy to imagine him away from Maggie and the rest of the team for some time.

Unfortunately, we are not going to be getting answers on what is ahead anytime soon. Last week served as the season 8 finale and as a result of that, a long waiting game is officially underway. We are lucky to know that a season 9 is coming, but there is no exact premiere date as of yet.

Based at least on where things stand at present, the easy thing to currently say is the following: FBI will most likely return on CBS in late September or early October. It is going to be airing once again on Monday nights, so this at least will not change. The same goes for it being followed up with new episodes of CIA.

So is there a chance that there is a time jump at the start of the season? Honestly, we would be surprised if there wasn’t! This is a show that is likely going to pivot in order to properly show what OA has been dealing with since heading off undercover, and there will certainly be a lot of interesting material to look at as a result. How much will he have changed? We do tend to think it will also be important for him to rejoin the standard team early on in the season.
