The Testaments season 1 episode 10 (finale): What can Garth do?

In just a matter of days now The Testaments season 1 episode 10 will arrive and hopefully deliver all sorts of emotions. This is the finale and we anticipate big revelations, emotional moments, and perhaps even a cliffhanger for what lies ahead! Given that the Handmaid’s Tale sequel has already been renewed for a season 2, we are happy to be able to just focus on the story at present.

However, in doing so, we are also reminded of one rather-simple thing: It is pretty bleak for some of the characters right now, with Becka front and center. She just murdered her own father and was betrayed by her best friend Agnes, who thought she was doing the right thing by telling her parents. She’s now been taken by her fiance Garth and presumably the Eyes, and that raises a number of questions on its own.

For now, though, we do have to put our eyes (pun intended) on Garth and precisely what he is going to do at this juncture. We know that he is a part of Mayday, even if Becka does not. Is there any way that he could get her to safety? Is there a chance that the “Eyes” outside of Agnes’ house are actually agents in disguise? All of this is great to think about, but there is also still a problem: Garth is someone who has to tow the line carefully.

Here is one way to look at it. Because Agnes’ parents are high-ranking people within Gilead, they are likely going to tell others about what happened with Becka and Dr. Grove. If Garth does not actually bring the Eyes to take Becka, there is a good chance that will be uncovered and from there, his entire operation will be destroyed. What we have to hope for at present is that he is able to do something a little more covert. For example, there is a chance that his handler at Mayday is a part of the group, or that Aunt Lydia or someone else within here is able to step in and help. For now, it does seem like there are possibilities.
