Survivor 51 cast reveal: When to expect it

At the end of last night’s epic Survivor 50 finale over on CBS, we had a chance to see a first look at season 51. There were a few quick shots of the cast, alongside a claim that we are entering the “Open Era” of the show, meaning that almost anything could be thrown at these players in an extremely short amount of time. Is that worrisome to anyone else? We like the occasional twist, but also want players to be able to focus on their games and allow them to have as much agency as possible.

Anyhow, there is going to be more time to talk about this down the road; for now, let’s just look more at when we are actually going to meet the cast in some official capacity. How long will we be waiting?

Well, let’s start by assuming here that the premiere of Survivor 51 is going to be happening either in late September or early October. Provided that happens, it is then our hope that we will know about the players by early September, at the latest. They will be all-new castaways this time, meaning that you don’t have to sit back and think exclusively about some potential returnees.

With that being said…

We do personally think that we are going to see more returning players before a possible Survivor 60. There was a long wait between all-star seasons this time around, but it is our personal feeling that this is going to change given how popular these are. You still don’t want to go too crazy with them, though, mostly because you constantly want to have good rosters of people you can bring back at almost any moment. We just hope that the group for season 51 is dynamic, fun, and ready to play hard.
