Pluribus season 2: EP on aftermath of finale reveal

There has not been too much that has been said as of yet regarding Pluribus season 2, mostly for one reason: The writers are still working on it! This is a process that remains ongoing and while there are no production dates out there as of yet, it is our hope that the cast and crew will start filming over the next year. We want to hold out a dream of a fall 2027 premiere as long as we can…
While we are sure that there are new mysteries and ideas that are going to be uncovered within the next season of the show, there is still one really-clear issue that needs to be addressed: The atom bomb that Carol required. It started off as a joke-of-sorts regarding how far the Joined would go for the sake of her happiness. From there, it evolved into Rhea Seehorn’s character actually getting it in the finale, an act of revenge after she learned they were doing whatever they could to turn her.

Obviously, the bomb is not something that the producers of the show can just forget about at this point, and that is something creator Vince Gilligan noted to Entertainment Weekly:
All I can say is we’ve discussed that to great length in the room.
Do we think that this is going to be a part of every minute of every season 2 episode? Hardly, but it could still make its presence felt as this sort of specter that hovers over the entire universe of the show. We are certainly eager to see what that looks like and beyond just that, also if Carol is going to start asking for other things that are dangerous in their own right.
