The Boys season 5 episode 8: Chace Crawford on series finale

The series finale of The Boys is set to arrive on Prime Video in just a matter of days! Are you remotely prepared for what is to come?
Obviously, one of the challenges for a series this big is trying to wrap up every single storyline, especially since there are many that still have ground to cover. What’s ironic about The Deep, though, is that you can technically argue that his story already has an end. Homelander got rid of the Seven, he was threatened by Xander the shark, and now he’s unable to go into the water at all — his powers are now basically useless and no one respects him. He’s completely on his own and lost everything he once cared about — and for good reason.

Yet, it does still feel like something more could be coming. Speaking to Collider, here is what Chace Crawford had to say on the subject:
I think the fans are going to be really pleased, to be honest, and I think it was a long time coming, as far as seeing The Deep struggle and be at his lowest point ever and completely emasculated and just laid out with no friends. And he killed his close friend. It’s really a sad thing. He can’t really get his s–t together, up until the end. It’s full circle from what happened in the pilot episode of the season and seeing Deep’s inability to be redeemable. He’s irredeemable, so getting his comeuppance is going to be sweet. It’s going to be very sweet.
Does this mean Annie will get a chance to take him out? That is something we’ve been hoping to see forever, and there are hints in the promo that the moment is coming.
