The Boys season 5 episode 8 (finale) promo: All out war

In just a matter of a few short days, you are going to have a chance to see The Boys season 5 episode 8. Are you ready for the series finale? War is poised to be here between our heroes and what is left of Homelander’s regime — and absolutely, things are about to be gnarly.

Where do we start here? Well, with a simple reminder that multiple people are likely to die. Also, it does seem as though some long-simmering stories could finally come to fruition. You can see in the promo over here Starlight battling The Deep, something that makes a ton of sense given that she really is the right person to take him down.

Obviously, the folks over at Prime Video are only going to be willing to give so much away at this point, but it does feel like we’re going to be seeing a lot of these characters finding a way to stop Homelander. Unless they can do that, nothing else matters.

Is there going to be an extended finale for the series?

It absolutely makes sense to wonder but at the same exact time, all signs point to something about the same length as everything else we’ve seen all season long. Our hope here remains that this is enough time to wrap up a lot of loose ends — final seasons are really difficult, mostly because everyone has their own idea as to how a show should wrap up. The Boys has certainly come under a lot of fire already, but we would say that there are some legitimately great things that we’ve seen over the course of this one … even if it has also been uneven.
