The Gilded Age season 4 premiere date: A May 2026 update

Is there a chance we are going to hear more about The Gilded Age season 4 between now and the end of May? What about some details on the next part of the story in general?

Since we do want to be reasonably positive within this particular piece, let’s begin with a bit of good news — if you were not already aware, filming for the HBO period drama has already kicked off! We imagine that Bertha, Agnes, Ada, and so many other characters are going to have rich roles moving forward and for us personally, the status of Bertha’s marriage is perhaps what we are the most curious about.

Of course, it would be great to get some sort of exact news on a start date for season 4 before the month is over … but that is unlikely. HBO has never said that The Gilded Age is returning this year and from where we sit, a winter / spring 2026 launch makes the most sense. That allows time for the producers to edit and properly prepare the next chapter.

In the end, we are fine with HBO taking their time in order to produce greatness for the next chapter. The most important thing to us is simply that the end result is lavish, emotional, and full of quotable moments. This is one of the rare premium-cable dramas that actually gets better with each passing year — and in the end, there are not a lot of other shows that you can say this about! We just hope that the trend continues and there are some storylines that legitimately do blow us away.
