Heading into FROM season 4 episode 5 on MGM+ this weekend, we certainly had questions regarding what Jade could accomplish. He went on a trip like no other, presumably with Boyd at his side the whole time. It was frightening but also informative … and as it turns out, almost all of it took place in his head.

So is there anything in here that could prove useful for his future? In the end, we’ll say that the simple answer comes down to how much others choose to believe him…

Here is what Jade did manage to uncover over the course of the hour. First and foremost, he found out that some of the people from his past visions were actually versions of himself — people he has inhabited throughout generations. Beyond just that, every time he is killed, it is seemingly by the residents of the town rather than the Man in Yellow — a clear suggestion that they need the residents to turn on one another. Can he not kill Jade or Tabitha? That is an interesting thing to wonder.

Eventually, Jade made his way down into the tunnels, where he was able to locate one of the children buried within a chamber tomb. As a result, it feels like he knows a thing or two more about how to save him … but he sure doesn’t know everything.

Of course, there is the real question here as to whether or not anything Jade saw is actually an answer. Even if it is, he still doesn’t know how understanding where the children are allows anyone to leave the town. This is a stepping stone but remember that in this world, knowing something comes at a price. There could certainly be a punishment coming if someone starts to take Jade seriously. However, it remains to be seen if that is going to happen or not.
