Next week on CBS you are going to have a chance to see Fire Country season 4 episode 20 — are you ready for the all-important finale?

In situations like this, of course there are a number of things that we can share. In order to better prepare for what lies ahead here, though, our advice is more to look at the past. The Max Thieriot drama has done a fantastic job over the years of delivering high-stakes conclusions and cliffhangers, especially when it comes to crises that leave lives on the line. We do have a hard time thinking that they are going to replicate what we saw last year with the eventual death of Vince, but can something be harrowing in a different way? Absolutely, and the writers seem to be looking towards a flood as a great way to make that happen.

To get a few more details now on what to expect, go ahead and take a look at the Fire Country season 4 episode 20 synopsis below:

“Try Not to Drown” – After a catastrophic dam failure unleashes historic floodwaters across Edgewater, Station 42 and Three Rock battle rising waters and dwindling resources, on the fourth season finale of FIRE COUNTRY, Friday, May 22 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

In the end, we really just hope that this episode feels emotionally satisfying and that a lot of the story arcs for the season have closure. Given that season 5 will be coming with a new showrunner, that could allow for some new ideas to be introduced — many shows do benefit from that, even if there is also still a cliffhanger that needs to be tied up.
