Sheriff Country season 1 episode 20 (finale) spoilers: The fallout
Next week on CBS, you are going to have a chance to get into Sheriff Country season 1 episode 20, otherwise known as the epic finale. What more can we say about it now?
Well, the irony here first and foremost is that despite being set in a California town, the title for the finale is “Mexico.” This is one that could actually present high stakes in a number of different forms, and also leave Mickey Fox in a place where her job is on the line.

“Mexico” – With her department under scrutiny and tensions rising across Edgewater, Sheriff Mickey Fox faces the fallout from a major investigation that threatens to upend everything she’s built, on the first season finale of SHERIFF COUNTRY, Friday, May 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
In the end, we tend to think there is a good chance at a cliffhanger at the tail end of all this, largely for one singular reason: This is the sort of show that we’ve seen this year, and it is also the sort of franchise it’s in! Just consider what the original Fire Country has given us when it comes to jaw-droppers over the years; why would we suddenly think the spin-off is going to give us something different? A season 2 has already been greenlit and based on what CBS has already shared, we expect it to arrive at some point in the fall.
