Big Brother 28 cast reveal: When to expect it

If you missed the news earlier this week, it appears as though Big Brother 28 is going to be premiering on CBS come July 9. It is nice to have some sort of conclusive answer to this and yet, other questions remain.

So what is one of the big ones? Well, from where we stand, it is as simple as trying to learn the identity of the cast — especially with rumors being out there already about possible returnees.

If you want to see some familiar faces back in the house, we get it — even if the last all-star season felt like a major disappointment. For fans, it is still easy to get excited about a known commodity other than a total unknown, where you never know what they bring to the table. We’re sure that there will be a ton of rumors over the next 40 or so days, with a lot of them false.

When will the actual cast be revealed?

Well, we would look maybe towards July 6 or 7. Over the past few seasons, Big Brother has opted to release the cast really close to the premiere. This may be to mitigate any last-second changes, or to wait until the players are in the house (at least for seasons without a live move-in). We are going to be waiting for a long time.

In the interim, the biggest thing we can hope for is a few announcements regarding various twists that could be coming into the game. We do tend to think that some elements from recent seasons could be back, but with some tweaks. For starters, we are cool with the BB Blockbuster making a return but at the same time, it would be nice if it ended a little bit earlier in the season.
