Is Grey’s Anatomy new tonight on ABC? After the events of last week, we certainly do not blame anyone ready to dive into this world once more.

So are we about to have a chance to do just that? Well, this is where we do have to go ahead and share some of the bad news: You will be waiting for a good while. Last week, after all, marked the season 22 finale of the long-running medical drama. We know that a season 23 is coming but at the same time, it will not be until late September or early October.

Now as we start to think more about what the next part of the Grey’s Anatomy story is going to look like, a lot of it begins with trying to understand how the series moves forward without Teddy or Owen. There is a chance that they simply move forward with the current cast and give some of their roster more air time. Or, they could opt to either bring in someone new or promote a recurring player. Either way, the show has more options that they can play around with.

As for what else we can expect at present, we do feel like there is a reasonably good chance we will see a lot more of Ellen Pompeo, even if it is not an every-episode thing. Meanwhile, the future of Scott Speedman as Nick is going to depend heavily on his schedule with RJ Decker, as that show was just renewed for another batch of episodes. He managed to make it work over the past year with most shows, and we do tend to think that he would try his best again.
