Chicago Med season 12 premiere date hopes over at NBC

With tonight serving as the big season 11 finale on NBC, there is no better time to start looking towards Chicago Med season 12. When can you expect it back? Well, there are a few things worth going over here!

First and foremost, let’s begin by noting that the network has officially renewed the medical drama for another chapter. That is something we are certainly happy about, and that is without even getting into any of the possible stories. This is a series that has a pretty distinct formula and by virtue of that, we certainly do not anticipate any significant changes there.

Earlier this spring, NBC confirmed that Chicago Med will continue to anchor the One Chicago lineup on Wednesday nights this fall. That has not changed over the past several years, and we honestly do not think that it will unless these shows start to all lose viewers in rapid fashion. We also don’t see that happening anytime soon. There may not be a specific premiere date as of yet, but our general sentiment here is that it will likely be coming back in either late September or early October. We also anticipate around 20-21 episodes again and more than likely, certain cast members will miss an episode or two. This has been fundamentally one of the ways that NBC and producers have cut costs as of late.

Is there a chance at a new addition or two?

Sure, but if that happens, it would be revealed at some point over the summer. This is not an announcement that we would anticipate coming in the near future, as the priority right now is likely wrapping up the story in its current form. There is still a lot of time to get even more into whatever will be next.
