‘True Blood’ season 6: Joe Manganiello, Stephen Moyer return to Comic-Con
“True Blood” has been a staple of Comic-Con almost since the beginning, and it also manages to routinely hold the title of having one of the largest panels that the entire San Diego-set convention has over the course of the year. However, what is especially interesting about this year’s event, which is being held on Saturday, July 20 in Ballroom 20, is the people who are ultimately going to be stopping by.
According to HBO’s official press release, the panel is going to include executive producer Brian Buckner along with the following people in alphabetical order: Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam Swynford de Beaufort), Anna Camp (Sarah Newlin), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds), Rob Kazinsky (Ben Flynn), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux), Michael McMillian (Steve Newlin), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby).
First, we have to describe the elephant (or the tall Swedish man) in the room: Where’s Alexander Skarsgard? The man behind Eric Northman must have some sort of a schedule conflict, given that he is the most notable omission. Then again, we’re also surprised to see our new Warlow in Rob Kazinsky, Anna Camp, and Michael McMillan present over Chris Bauer (Sheriff Andy), Todd Lowe (Terry), and Carrie Preston (Arlene).
No matter who is present, this event should be pretty darn entertaining given that the “True Blood” cast seems to all get along rather well, and has fun with the overall campy nature of some of their episodes.
