Next week on Bravo, you are going to have a chance to see Top Chef: Carolinas episode 11 arrive — so how will the remaining contestants fare?

First and foremost, we do recognize that Duyen’s exit is a really stunning one for many reasons. She did a great job for most of the season, but undercooking her fish tonight was the death sentence. With that, Sieger continues to be the chef with nine lives. He was previously eliminated, brought back due to everything that happened with Jennifer, and has been in the bottom multiple times. We’ve seen contestants like this narrowly escape an exit many times over, but he clearly faces an uphill battle as the show prepares to leave Greenville.

Before we get to that, though, how about an homage to the Swamp Rabbit Trail? The next episode is going to pay homage to the history of both the city also prestigious cooking at the same exact time, and it does seem as though there will be drama. Sherry looks to be rattled and honestly, it is easy to understand why sitting in the middle of the competition over the past several weeks. Rhoda appears to be stressed as well, but sometimes, drama during the challenge is no indicator of how things go at the end. There may even be a debate as to who to send out, at least according to the preview.

We have noted this already, but we are starting to get a sense of who some of the favorites are this season; yet, at the same time, we know that one bad dish can take away everything. (Just look at what happened tonight!) For now, we’re going to argue that Laurence is the contestant to beat after the last two challenges; he has the momentum on his side, especially when it comes to being able to incorporate storytelling into what he does.
