The White Lotus season 4: Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella sign on
Despite the enormous cast that it already has, The White Lotus season 4 has found a way to add more names to the mix. Not only that, but some especially notable ones!
According to a report from Deadline, the legendary Ben Kingsley has signed on in an undisclosed role, and the same can be said for Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale, Industry) and Pekka Strang, a Finnish actor more unknown to American viewers. All three will be recurring, meaning that they may only appear in a fraction of the episodes.

If you are not aware, this season of the HBO drama is going to be taking place at the Cannes Film Festival, giving a different explanation for why people may be at this resort. (We also wonder if the fictional hotel chain is struggling after all of the deaths.) Speaking per the aforementioned website, executive producer David Bernad said the following about the season’s general themes:
“Early on, Mike talked about wanting to do Season 4 as the life of an artist – the loneliness and the pain … That’s a throughline that runs throughout the season. As we located the show at the Cannes Film Festival, this idea of fame popped up, and who has the world’s attention? Who can grab it, and who is the plus-one in a relationship? What are the things that satisfy us? Is it the love of an intimate partner, the love of strangers? What do we prioritize in people?”
Absolutely, this is a compelling framing device for the upgoing season, and it is our hope that we are going to be able to see a lot of fascinating twists and mysteries as the story progresses. The biggest question mark for now is whether or not any actors from the first three season will be returning, as none of them have been presently announced.
