Reacher renewed (early!) for season 5 at Prime Video!

Even though the arrival of Reacher season 4 may still be some time away over at Prime Video, we have more to say regarding the future.
Today, the folks over at the streaming service confirmed that the action series starring Alan Ritchson, based on the works of Lee Child, is going to be back for another chapter. Getting a season 5 early mostly cements that there will be less of a gap between seasons, as production dates can be set and the story can be put together behind the scenes.

In a statement confirming the great news, here is some of what Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios had to say:
“From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise … The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum. We’re grateful to our outstanding creative partners, cast, and crew—Nick, Alan, Lee, Skydance, and CBS Studios—for continuing to bring this world to life in such a bold and compelling way.”
Our hope here is that season 4 will premiere close to the end of the year, and that all of this opens the door for the series to come back for more either in late 2027 or early 2028. We also know that a spin-off starring Maria Sten as Neagley is also on the way — its first season has already been filmed, so we are waiting to get a little bit more when it comes to premiere-date news on that as well.
