Euphoria season 3 finale will have extended run time on HBO

We still may be weeks from seeing the Euphoria season 3 finale arrive on HBO but at the same time, there is big news to report.

After all, consider the latest report from Screen Rant signaling that the upcoming finale for the Zendaya series is going to clock in at an hour and thirty-three minutes. This would make it the longest episode of the series to date — there has been some conflicting information about it being the longest episode of an HBO show ever, but that’s not honestly something that matters that much in the grander scheme of things here. Personally, we are just curious about what caused this episode to be feature-length in the first place.

If there is something that is especially notable about the season 3 finale at present, it is likely the fact that it may be the actual end of the series. Remember that there is no confirmation that we are getting more; not only that, but Zendaya herself has expressed doubt about it. Our general feeling is that the network is going to just allow Euphoria to go away and give Sam Levinson time to figure out if there is another version of the story worth telling down the road. We suppose there is also room still for a spin-off, but would it really work without Rue? We do continue to think of her as the glue that really ties everything together, even in a world where there are so many disparate plot threads dangling all over the place.

Now if there is a question dangling over season 4 in general, it is whether or not we are going to actually see Rue make it there. After all, remember that she was literally buried at the end of this past episode and plenty of people want her dead.
