Marshals season 1 episode 11: Is Garrett dead?
We knew going into Marshals on CBS that this was not a show that was going to hold anything back. It is based on a property in Yellowstone that never did, so we imagined that moving into the season, you were going to see a near-constant sense of momentum from one story to the next.
Ultimately, what this meant tonight was that we were going to see the end of the line for Garrett, someone who did make quite an impression over the course of his run. This marked the acting debut for country star Riley Green, which does bring to mind to some extent the time that Lainey Wilson had on Yellowstone. His death will hit Kayce hard given their history but at the same time, consider it one of many different deaths that we have seen take place in the guy’s life. Think back to John in the final season of the original show, or what we saw happen with Monica at the start of this one. Garrett died due to his injuries following a fire.

Ultimately, what we tend to think moving forward is simple. The show has to keep taking these risks, even if it is hard. They cannot back down now.
Speaking to USA Today, here is some of what Green had to say about being a part of the show in the first place:
“I mentioned I had some interest in acting … I didn’t know it would turn into a job so quickly. (Grimes) certainly threw me a bone getting me on this show.”
Ultimately, this is not going to be the last you see of Green on TV, as he is going to be joining The Voice moving forward as a coach!
