The Boys season 5 episode 7: Who could die next?

We know that The Boys season 5 episode 7 has to be more essential than almost any other we’ve seen over the years. All things considered, how can it not? We are talking about the penultimate story of the series and within that, there is going to be a lot of action and super-high stakes.

One thing that has been made clear from the start of the season is that people will die, and that is reflected in the fact that we’ve lost A-Train, Firecracker, and Black Noir 2.0 over the past several episodes. So who could be the next to go?

Obviously, there is something really humorous about the idea that we could be losing characters from the Seven almost constantly. Sage, for example, recognizes now that she’s miscalculated things; yet, we do think she may still have the wisdom to go hide somewhere immediately at this point. Why be present when you realize that you are so very vulnerable?

Rather, we tend to think that at this point, all eyes are on The Deep. Homelander is immortal now and through that, he really doesn’t need anyone anymore. He’s also not going to be happy that The Deep killed the new Noir, and we’ve seen a history here of him killing anyone who shows just the slightest tinge of disloyalty.

The irony in all of this

While it may make some sense for Homelander to do away with the Deep, we still do not want that to be the way he goes. Instead, it is going to be so much more satisfying if Annie does so herself, going back to the start of the show.
