We knew heading into the Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 premiere that in some shape or form, we are going to be seeing Elias Voit back. With that in mind, there is still another big question to wonder: How is it going to happen? Is there a way to use Zach Gilford’s character that we have not seen before?

Well, from where things stand right now, it appears as though a big chunk of that is going to be tied to a copycat killer who is trying to follow some of his methods — meaning that the BAU could really see him as an asset.

If you head over to the link here right now, you can see more of a trailer for what lies ahead, one that features some of Voit’s new role, a few scary moments, and an appearance from Connor Storrie of Heated Rivalry fame. This role was filmed prior to the hockey drama becoming a breakout hit, so we are not expecting it to be some sort of overwhelming smash.

Beyond Storrie, the guest-star lineup for the next season includes the likes of Justin Kirk (Angels in America), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Clark Gregg (The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Paul F. Tompkins (Bojack Horseman), Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar), Lyndon Smith (Step Sisters), Richard Cabral (Mayans), Jeri Ryan (Star Trek Voyager),  Rob Yang (The Menu), Nicholas Gonzalez (The Good Doctor), Inny Clemons (Judging Amy), Nicole Pacent (Westworld), Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Cara Jade Myers (Killers of the Flower Moon), and Jim True-Frost (The Wire). We hope that it will be as exciting as it feels like it should be on paper.

One last thing

We know a season 20 is coming! It is nice to not have to worry about that for now.
