In just a matter of days you are going to be seeing the arrival of NCIS season 23 episode 20 — the finale is just about here! Are you ready for some of the drama that comes along with that?

Well, if you saw the synopsis released not too long ago, you likely have a sense of what is to come: “One year after a deadly coffee shop bombing, a new explosion proves the attack wasn’t the work of a lone wolf – a case that forces the team to confront legacy and loyalty, on the 23rd season finale.” Now, here is your reminder that this is just one part of the overall story. It appears as though Gibbs may have been involved in the death of Wayne Rogers, and we certainly wonder if he and Parker have actually covered all this up. Have we reached the end of that story at all?

Ultimately, we do think that the finale is going to bring with it a lot of various twists, but we don’t think that the show will deviate that much from what we have come to know and love over the years. Speaking via TV Insider, McGee himself in Sean Murray notes that when it comes to this finale, “expect what everyone loves about our show and then some.” This means there could be a cliffhanger, since we certainly have come to expect that over the years.

From where we sit, the one other thing to be happy about at present is just knowing that a season 24 has already been ordered and more than likely, a lot of ideas are being thought about. Will there be a time jump or a direct pickup? Only time will tell…
