Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 4 preview: ‘Beach Reads’

Next week on Apple TV, you are going to see Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 4 — so what sort of creepiness comes along with that?

Well, one thing that has been apparent (and delightful) with the series so far is that there is an ongoing story but at the same time, individual things that go bump in the night. It is becoming increasingly clear that Mayor Tom is starting to believe that the town could be cursed — the latest exploits regarding the Sea Witch are further proof of that.

So as we move forward now into episode 4 titled “Beach Reads,” it feels like one of the priorities could be trying to find another way to raise new questions. Take a look at the synopsis below:

Make sure you pack a good read for the beach! (We do not recommend self-help books on the island.)

The way that this show and/or Apple create these loglines it to leave them as intentionally vague and mysterious as possible, meaning that we are likely going to be left for the next several days wondering what sort of creepy phenomena lies ahead.

If there is one thing we are curious about…

Is it possible that a lot of the major settings on the island are connected in some way? We do know of that secret electric chair underground, and we also wonder if the reverend heard something in the well that is somehow tied to it. If you believe that some residents are really trying to keep the tourists out, isn’t it possible that they are creating a lot of the stunts? For the time being, this is at least the sort of thing you do have to wonder about.
