‘Under the Dome’ episode 4 preview: The medical crisis arrives in ‘Outbreak’

On next week’s all-new episode of “Under the Dome,” we are going to see what happens yet again when the community of Chester’s Mill is forced to face another crisis that they surely do not want to deal with … and this time, it involves having to handle a pretty nasty medical issue that is going to be descending upon the town.

This episode is fittingly titled “Outbreak,” and before we share anything else, let’s just share the synopsis from CBS, given that this show give you a solid idea at what specifically is coming up:

“The people of Chester’s Mill fall into a state of panic as an outbreak of meningitis strikes their community, threatening their already depleted medical supplies. Meanwhile, Julia continues to search for answers into her husband’s disappearance.”

The one concern that we do have is that the dome-problem-of-the-week stories could become routine, at least unless the writers continue to find creative ways to tackle them. That is going to be a pretty difficult balance for them to maintain, along with balancing out these more individual storylines with the longer plots (such as Julia’s search) that are going to take a little bit longer to figure out.

What we are mostly satisfied with is that the series is still going strong, and we are excited to see just what could lie next on the road ahead for these characters.
