‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ review: Heather Dubrow, Gretchen Rossi, and chaos
Early on during Monday night’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” episode, there was one thought that entered our head rather quickly: Lydia McLaughlin likely ruined everything for herself by saying that because she planned everything when it came to this vacation in Canada with the ladies, that everything would go off without a hitch.
Well, we’ve been around the block here more than a few times when it comes to this franchise … and we know full well that these sort of things do not exactly happen. There is always drama, and sometimes, it can come from very unusual directions.
Take, for example, an entire fight that was born out of the idea that Gretchen Rossi claim that she said no to “Malibu Country,” when Heather Dubrow said the opposite, that the role was taken off the table before Gretchen could say one thing or another about it. We still feel about this fight the same exact way that we did when we first heard about it: Who cared? Even if you don’t want to believe Gretchen, it’s still understandable that she would want to save face. Then again, it’s also possible that there are a number of other factors that play into this that we are not quite seeing on the show. (Given that “Malibu Country” is over now, this entire story is even more of a moot point.)
Oh, and what was with the complaining about Heather only staying for a short amount of time? It was still longer than she really had to stay.
Also, we would be remiss to not bring up the madness with Vicki Gunvalson, who had to face some more truth about her ex Brooks that she probably ever wanted to hear. Why bring this up on-camera? We know: For drama!
But personally, the best part of this episode was all about the skiing, mostly because there’s nothing more entertaining than watching extremely rich and occasionally egocentric people embarrass themselves on national TV.
