‘The Voice’ UK: Holly Willoughby talks possible Jessie J replacement

The VoiceAt this very moment, we’re sure that you have already heard the big news: Jessie J is going to be leaving “The Voice” UK after two seasons, and the BBC is going to start looking immediately in order to figure out just who in the world is going to take her spot on the show. Supposedly, Rita Ora and Emeli Sande are both being considered as replacements; however, who knows if either one of these women is really interested? More often than not, it is not the first few names mentioned for one of these reality TV gigs that ends up actually landing the job at the end of the day.

So does one of the show’s hosts currently have a preference as to who would be the best fit for the show? Outside of the next coach’s gender, it doesn’t seem like it. Speaking in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, here is what Holly Willoughby had to say on the subject:

“For the sake of the panel it needs to be [a woman]. Otherwise it would be the wrong balance … I’m really going to miss Jessie. We were lucky to have her as long as we did. Whoever replaces her is going to have big shoes to fill.”

We imagine that the BBC will take their time over the next few months trying to determine who they want as their next coach, just so that they are ready for tapings around the start of the year. Season 3 (or series 3, as it is called in the UK) will premiere once again in the early spring.

Do you really think that any single coach could save this version of “The Voice” franchise? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts! If you want to read even more news when it comes to “The Voice,” be sure to head on over to the link here.
