Invincible season 5 premiere date hopes over on Prime Video

Following the events of season 4 today on Prime Video, what more can we ultimately say here when it comes to an Invincible season 5?

Well, first and foremost, let’s just start here by noting that the animated superhero saga is going to be coming back for more. There is clearly more story to tell, and we do think the streaming service values how unique it is compared to everything else in the genre. The character development is pretty rich, you have a fantastic cast, and the animation is intricate. This is one of the reasons why we are stuck waiting a long time for seasons; this is not a production that can be turned around overnight.

So when could we realistically expect season 5 to come back? Based on when it was first announced (think several months ago), our general feeling is that we are going to be stuck waiting until at least the spring of next year. All things considered, that’s not not too bad of a wait. The biggest thing that we have to do at this point is just hope for some more announcements over the course of the next few months.

Does Prime Video need Invincible more than ever now? To some extent, you can argue that this is very-much the case, given that The Boys is in its final season and beyond just that, the future of the Gen V spin-off still remains unclear. We hope that it is going to come back, but everything is a little bit unclear for the time being.

Is season 5 going to be the final one?

Well, for the time being nothing is clear. We don’t think it has to be the end by any means, but there is some larger announcement about the long-term future.
