The Count of Monte Cristo episode 6 spoilers: Stolen poison…

As we prepare more to see The Count of Monte Cristo episode 6 on PBS next week, what more is there to say about the story ahead?
Well, first and foremost, it is worth noting here that we are quickly approaching the end of the story … but we’re not quite there as of yet. Even though next week is the finale for the timeslot companion The Forsytes, here there are at least three more chapters to come. These will all be intense in their own way, mostly in that Edmond has found himself exactly where he wants to a certain extent. Yet, that does not mean that he is free of consequences, or that someone is going to figure out the truth.

To get a few more details right now on what is ahead, be sure to check out the full The Count of Monte Cristo episode 6 synopsis:
Now deeply entrenched in Paris high society, Edmond meddles in the lives of those he wishes to destroy. But the stakes change when poison is stolen from his lab and is used in a murder. Meanwhile, Edmond struggles to conceal his identity from Mercedes.
From where we stand, it does still feel as though there is no threat greater than learning the truth — knowledge is power, and there are plenty who could do terrible things to him if they had the full understanding of what he is doing. That is what makes at least the remainder of the season exciting — the bigger the risks that he takes, the more likely it is that everyone comes crashing down on him at the same exact time.
When the dust settles, we just hope that the end here is eventually as satisfying as what we know from the source material.
