‘Nashville’ season 2 spoilers: Chris Carmack, others promoted to series regulars
There are definitely some changes coming within the world of “Nashville,” at least when it comes to ensuring that a trio of actors stick around on the hit show in a pretty permanent capacity for the upcoming season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ABC show has promoted a trio of actors to series regulars for the episodes ahead. The biggest news of the group is that Chris Carmack will continue to be a presence on the show as Will, a gay man who tried to cover up his sexuality with a loud exterior in hopes of being able to make it within the country music world. Carmack first appeared in the final six episodes of the first season, and easily made a strong impression.
Meanwhile, the series is also handing down promotions to young actors Lennon and Maisy Stella, who have been a part of the show since the very beginning (or at least the re-shot version of the pilot). Considering that these two YouTube stars have such a close tie to the show, especially thanks to the revelation that came out during the season 1 finale, it was not exactly much of a surprise to see them sticking around. This is almost a reward for a job well done the first time around, similar to some of the “Glee” actors who were promoted recently after a full 22 episodes working alongside Ryan Murphy and company.
What do you think about these promotions happening? We want to hear some of your thoughts with a comment below! The new season of the show will premiere this fall, with an exact date to be announced.
