‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Who could help Booth and Brennan get married?

In looking back at all of the season finales that aired in May, we have a hard time thinking of one off of the top of our head that was more heartbreaking in many ways than what took place on “Bones.” You finally had Booth and Brennan in a position where marriage was an option for them, and then a certain nefarious man in Pelant had to take it away with a well-placed threat that if these two continued on in this direction, there would be some very terrible things that happened to them as a result.

So could there be some sort of relief coming up in the near future? It certainly looks like it. According to a new report from TV Guide, we are going to be meeting a mysterious former priest from Booth’s past this season, and in some way he manages to help take care of the crisis that David Boreanaz’s character finds himself in.

Not only that, but this same priest character could be the facilitator to bring Booth and his longtime love closer together, and on the road towards making it to the altar. Booth and Brennan fans, rejoice! This has been a long time coming.

This news is especially welcome given that we don’t quite know at the moment just what the future is going to hold for “Bones.” The series is going to be airing in part on Friday nights this fall, and as many devoted TV viewers know, this is the spot where many TV shows go to die.
